I thought it might be useful to put together a page showing the latest awards Marshwood Vale Cider has received, so far 2014 has been quite productive.
Back at the begining of May a batch of Tom Putt was included in the CAMRA Southern regions competition, the winner of which would then be entered in the Reading Cider Awards. The regional cider competition cover the counties of Dorset, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
I was totally amazed to get a 3rd place, unfortunately I did not win anything in the main competition but there is always next year.
Next little surprise came from the British Cider Championships at the Bath and West show held in late May, I was awarded a Very Highly Commended for my Dorset Tit draught farmhouse closely followed by a 3rd for my single variety Tom Putt medium.
I entered the cider competition at Melplash show back in August, I was hopeful I would win something but was blown away by the end results, I won two 1st places, two 2nd places and took overall champion to finish it off nicely, I was totally blown away.
